After a few years without playing in European competitions,Fiorentina are closer than ever to qualify for Europa League. This season Fiorentina are exceding the expectation, lying in sixth position in Serie A with 42 points, 13 points behind the leaders Juventus.
Coach Vincenzo Montella hopes that his team will mantain current form and they will finish on a Europa League position, or even better on a Champions league one.
Despite signing Giuseppe Rossi this winter, and having quality strikers in the team like Stevan Jovetic or experienced forward Luca Toni, they intend to bring another forward to strengthen the team for next season.
Even if they have fourth attack in Serie A with 45 goals, Daniele Prade, the sportiv director declared that Fiorentina want to buy at least one striker and they are interested in Pablo Osvaldo from AS Roma and Fabio Borini from Liverpool.
With at least one of those two strikers they will want to fill the gap left by a possible departure of Stevan Jovetic.
The Montenegrin striker is in good shape and Fiorentina bosses know that it will be very difficult to keep him at the team, especially because there are some big clubs after him.
If Pablo Osvaldo from AS Roma could be more easy to brought as the Italian striker played at Fiorentina between 2007 and 2009, not the same thing can be said about Fabio Borini which was transferred from Roma to Liverpool at the start of this season for €13.3 mil.
Borini has not yet confirmed at Liverpool, perhaps because he not yet adapted to the Premier League style of play.People from Liverpool have not lost their confidence in the Italian striker and are expecting him to become an important player for Liverpool.

AC Milan – FC Barcelona preview
Today, AC Milan and FC Barcelona will meet in one of the most expected games of the Champions League first knockout round. Although AC Milan are in top form, having seven matches unbeaten run in Serie A and six home wins in all competitions, they will start the match against FC Barcelona with second chance.
Only a few specialists give chances to Massimiliano Allegri’s team against Barcelona. Mario Balotelli can’t play for AC Milan in this season of Champions League and this might be decisive. The Italian forward has already played for Manchester City in this competition. As Balotelli will not play, AC Milan will put all their hopes in Stephan El Shaarawy, wich is the team goalscorer.
AC Milan failed to beat FC Barcelona in the last seven matches, and are hoping to break the invincibility of the Spanish club. Last season both teams met four times,wich ended with two draws and two wins for Barcelona.
Silvio Berlusconi, the president of AC Milan, believed that if they will succeed to stop Messi, they have a chance to qualify. Berlusconi said that “the only way to beat Barcelona is that Lionel Messi should be man-marked”.
Inter Milan are preparing to build a new stadium
Inter Milan are preparing to build a new stadium. It seems that Inter boss is not happy to share the same field with rivals AC Milan and even Squadra Azzurra sometimes and thats why he plans to build another stadium.
The current stadium called Giuseppe Meazza when Inter are playing and San Siro when AC Milan are playing was inaugurated on September 19, 1926 in a match between the two Milan teams ended with a victory 6-3 for Inter Milan.
At the beginning it was owned only by AC Milan but the two teams have agreed to share the stadium in the end. The new stadium is only at the proposal stage, but those from Inter are determined to have a new stadium where to be single owners.
If the project will be approved, the stadium construction will take approximately 5 years. This means that Inter Milan will play on the new arena at the start of season 2018-2019.
The new stadium will have a capacity of approximately 60,000 seats.
Inter moved to fourth position
Inter Milan moved up in the standings to the fourth position, after the 3-1 win against Chievo on Sunday. They took advantage of the wrong step made by Napoli,Lazio and AC Milan which failed to win last weekend.
In the second minute of the match Javier Zanetti crossed down the right,and won a corner from which Antonio Cassano scored first goal of the match. 19 minutes later Chievo captain Luca Rigoni scored de equaliser as he was left totally unmarked at eight yards.
After this goal it was just one team one the field ,Inter Milan. Only a few minutes later they scored the second goal from another corner. Andrea Ranocchia managed to score with a fine heading into Puggioni’s right corner.
With just few minutes gone from second half Diego Milito scored third goal for Inter and secured the fourth place in the table with this win. It’s worth to mention that Milito just came on the field a few minutes before.
Stramaccioni’s men now have their morale high and they will try to push up in Serie A.
Milito wants to stay at Inter until 2014
After the win against Chievo last Sunday, Diego Milito affirmed “I intend to stay at Inter until my contract expires in 2014”.
Diego Milito scored once in that match and helped Inter to win with 3-1.
The Argentine striker has recently been linked with a return to his native country,but the 33 years old forward has no intention to leave from Giuseppe Meazza.
Milito sayed that he is very happy with the life at Inter and he will be verry happy to fullfill his contract. After that anything is posible, even a new contract with Inter.
The argentinian came after an injury wich kept him out of the field for one month.
With this win Inter moved to fourth place in the standings at 12 points behind the leader Juventus.
Inter loan Obiora to CFR Cluj
After selling the dutch midfielder Sneijder because his wages were too high and Inter are in danger of not playing in Europe because of the new financial rules, the Italian club had renounced to the services of Obiora.
Even if he was not in the first eleven at Inter and the fact that he was held in co-ownership with AC Parma, Obi was seen as a good player for the future. The 21 years old midfielder has some appearances in previous seasons in Inter’s shirt, some of them in the Champions League.
This season he played for Parma until the winter when he returned to Inter.He wasn’t retained in Inter’s squad and those from Inter Milan have decided to loan him in Romania at champions CFR Cluj. The Romanian champions have decided to sell the team stars and in their place were brought players with potential, among them Obiora Nwankwo and Sulley Muniru,who is the brother of the famous Sulley Muntari. Obiora Nwankwo hopes that at CFR Cluj will develop his skills and to be appreciated at his true value.
The nigerian is characterized as a strong player, very mobile, who can help the attack but also the defence. Nwankwo Obiora played a few minutes for Nigeria at African Cup from this winter.
Will Cavani remain at Napoli?
Many clubs are interested in buying Edinson Cavani, but all of them are faceing the refusal of the Uruguayan player to leave Napoli. Last team which Cavani refused is Real Madrid.

Balotelli impressed at Milan debut
A.C. Milan announced that the team had agreed a deal to sign Balotelli from Manchester City on a four-and-half year for a worth of €20m plus bonuses and add-ons.So Mario Baloteli finally succeeded to transfer to the team he loves since he was a child.
Ever since he played for the rivals Inter Milan ,Balotelii sayed that his favourite team is AC Milan,without caring that these statements could bring many problems.After several successful seasons at Inter, Balotelli transfered to another football power,but in England Premier League.
Manchester City, a team recently taken over by sheikhs which investing a lot of money for buying superstars,managed to give another blow on transfer market and buying another world-class player.But adapting to a different style of game as the Italian style was questioned.
Helped by the fact that he had an Italian coach,Roberto Mancini,who gave him the trust he needed,Balotelli showed his class, managed some great matches for “The Citizens”.But due to inconsistencies in games and especially because of his behavior has lost the club support
and then the fans suport.So Manchester City decided to sell Balotelli this winter.

It seems that Mario Balotelli already feels very good with his new colleagues from AC Milan.After this match, the club and the supporters are confident that AC Milan will finish on top of the Seria A.
